Privacy Policy
Daily Football Tips ("we", "us") runs the free football tips email published at dailyfootball.tips. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you subscribe, why we collect it, and the control you have over it. We keep the data we hold to the minimum needed to send you the email you asked for.
1. What we collect
- Details you give us: your first name and email address when you complete a subscription form, plus anything you choose to include if you email us.
- Email engagement data: whether an edition was delivered, opened, or clicked, so we can tell whether the list is healthy and stop sending to dead addresses.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, device type, and the page you signed up from, collected automatically and used in aggregate.
We do not ask for and do not want financial information. We never request card details, bank details, or bookmaker account credentials. If an email claiming to be from us asks for any of those, it is not from us.
2. Why we use it
- To send you the daily football tips email and occasional related updates about the service.
- To personalise the greeting and content of that email.
- To measure which sign-up pages and editions perform best, so we can improve them.
- To keep the service secure, prevent abuse, and meet our legal obligations.
Our lawful basis for sending marketing emails is your consent, given when you submit the form and confirm your subscription. For analytics, security, and service improvement we rely on our legitimate interests in running a functioning email publication.
3. Unsubscribing
Every edition carries an unsubscribe link in the footer. One click removes you from the list, with no questions and no confirmation email chasing you. You can also email help@dailyfootball.tips and we will remove you by hand.
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We share it only with the service providers that make the email work:
- Our email delivery platform, which stores the list and sends the editions.
- Our website host, which also keeps a record of each sign-up (your name, email address, the time you signed up, and the page and link you arrived from) so we can manage the list. This record is kept for as long as you are subscribed and deleted on request.
- Our analytics providers.
These providers process data on our instructions under contract. Some may store data outside the UK or EEA, in which case appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses apply. We may also disclose data where we are legally required to.
5. Cookies and analytics
We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies: essential ones that make the site and forms work, and analytics ones that tell us in aggregate how many people visited a page and subscribed. We may also use advertising cookies to measure the performance of campaigns that bring readers to the site. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the sign-up form will still work.
6. How long we keep it
We keep your name and email for as long as you are subscribed. If you unsubscribe we retain a minimal suppression record, usually your email address alone, so that we do not accidentally add you again. Inactive subscribers who have not opened an edition for 24 months are removed from the list.
7. Your rights
Under UK and EU data protection law you have the right to:
- Ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Have inaccurate data corrected.
- Have your data erased, and withdraw your consent to marketing at any time.
- Object to or ask us to restrict certain processing, and to receive your data in a portable format.
Email help@dailyfootball.tips and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
8. Age restriction
This service is for adults aged 18 or over only. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has subscribed, tell us and we will delete the record immediately.
9. Changes and contact
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of the page, and we will tell subscribers by email if the change is significant. Questions, requests, or complaints go to help@dailyfootball.tips.
